On June 9 Peter awoke at 5am and hiked up the hill Rocca Pendice that towered
over our house.
A two-hour route took him up 150 meters through thorny thickets and locust/pine
forests to the top of the cliffs. There he saw the ruins of a 13th century
medieval castle.
He came down by road through the towns of Teolo
and Villa.
We visied Vincenza later in the day, the home of architect Andrea Palladio and
center of much of his work.
